Psychotherapist of the Year 2026 (Central London): Billi Silverstein
The GHP Mental Health Awards 2026 are here to celebrate those who change lives every day, who challenge stigma, push boundaries, and place compassion and humanity at the heart of mental health innovation.
I am honoured to receive this prestigious award, which I view not as a personal accolade but as a recognition of the therapeutic process itself. In psychotherapy, progress is often subtle and deeply personal. It is measured not by outward markers of success, but by increased insight, emotional balance, and the capacity to relate more freely to oneself and others.
From a therapeutic perspective, recognition holds value when it reflects consistency, ethical practice and a commitment to creating a space in which meaningful change can occur. The work of psychotherapy is largely quiet and unseen, grounded in careful listening, reflection and the gradual development of trust.
This award acknowledges the importance of that work and the integrity with which it is carried out. Ultimately, it belongs to the therapeutic relationship and to those who engage in the process with openness and courage.
In psychotherapy, we explore diversity of experience with empathy and without judgement.
